Plutonium Orange is the band that brought Juha Raivio & Pasi Pasanen to play together again after several years, and eventually led to the forming of Swallow the Sun.
Formed in Jyväskylä in early 2000, they debuted with the Fruit of the Loom Demo the same year. Drummer Pasi had been involved with the black metal unit Morningstar and other death metal bands such as Clayforge and Murder in Art. Juha was also in Murder in Art and before that Waterfront Weirdos. Juha can also be found in Embraze.
4 demos have been released so far: Fruit of the Doom in 2000, Volume in 2001, and Waiting for the Gun in 2002, and Killer by the Road.
The band took a hiatus, but did a gig at Bar 68, at the end of February 2008. In June 2009, the band re-entered the recording studios to record their first full length album after being signed by Firebox records.

In early September the vinyl single "Bring out your dead" was released. 14th October, 2009 sees the first full length album CS release, "Volume". A mini tour was just completed throughout Finland.
