Ingenious! What could be said about the fantastic 2003-debut album, „The Morning Never Came” as well as for the great 2005-successor, „Ghosts Of Loss” can also be said about the new masterpiece of these Doom Metal-emperors! Because the gifted Finnish atmosphere-masters again created something unique that not only a few bands of this genre dream of forevermore: sonically exceptional compositions of haunting presence in their idyllic appearance. Melancholy songs filled with nearly endless forlornness that both take hold of and seductively mesmerize the listener. Still, this is absolute uniqueness. The Death Metal elements on „Hope“ can only be found in the vocals, the rest is dominated by esthetics and grace. With their new songs of sadness, the sun swallowers around guitarist Juha Raivio paint decline scenarios so colourful that the pictures appear more impressive than a requiem.
